The interior fabrics of the bar are inspired by the French Huguenots silk weavers who settled in East London in the 17th century. The high fashion of that time was all about woven and embroidered flower patterns and colours. We have worked with some of these historic patterns and flowers to create new custom woven fabrics for Florattica, as well as a real flower ceiling in homage to this part of East London’s local history.

The floral ceiling was installed by Phohm, composed of preserved gypsophila, achillea and bloom broom, and is the largest permanent installation of its kind in the UK.

Head Mixologist Serena Carrino’s cocktails uses homemade recipes that takes you on a sensory journey through the elegant and aromatic world of flowers. Inspired by the stunning floriated textiles of the French Huguenots who settled in East London, this is a cocktail list written in the language of flowers.
